Sunday is Earth Day and the weekend will kick off Friday morning with an event at the Hopkinsville dog park on Pardue Lane.
It will commence at 11 a.m. and Hopkinsville Parks and Recreation Superintendent Tab Brockman says they’ll be planting several trees for the occasion.
He says it will also double as a kickoff for the Hopkinsville-Christian County Public Library’s Book a Bike program, that will allow citizens to check out bicycles.
The public is invited to attend the event.
