Rotary auction resumes Wednesday night

Donations of items and cash can help this year’s WHOP Rotary Radio Auction be a success as the event heads into its third night.

Through two nights, the auction has brought in $95,925—only $188 less than the total after Tuesday night last year. Last night was another big on for selling items, with 105 selling for $13,702.

Cash donations to the Hour and Goat clubs have totaled just over $68,000–$182 off last year’s pace.

Auction Chair Kiley Killebrew says the Hour Club and Goat Club are critical in helping them raise the money they need to fund the Rotary Scholars and student loan programs.

She says they also need additional items to fill out the auction at the War Memorial Building.

The auction resumes tonight from 7 until 10 on Lite Rock 98.7 and lite987whop.com and it can be watched on the Hopkinsville Rotary Club’s website.
