Tuesday’s game between the Cincinnati Reds and the Chicago Cubs at Great American Ballpark was postponed due to rain. It will be made up as part of a split doubleheader on May 19th. Chicago will head to Milwaukee to open up a four-game set starting Thursday while Cincinnati hits the road to visit the Pittsburgh Pirates for a four game set, also starting Thursday.

Christian Yelich and Ryan Braun hit back-to-back solo home runs in the bottom of the ninth inning to lift the Milwaukee Brewers past the St. Louis Cardinals 5-4 at Miller Park. Dexter Fowler and Tommy Pham hit solo homers in the first inning and Marcell Ozuna added a two-run shot in the third as St. Louis built an early 4-0 lead. Cardinals manager Mike Matheny says it was a tough loss:

Dominic Leone took the loss for the Redbirds. The series concludes tonight.

The Atlanta Braves scored four runs in the first inning and four more in the second as they crushed the Washington Nationals 13-6 at SunTrust Park. Freddie Freeman smacked a three-run homer and drove in four, while Preston Tucker also hit a three-run blast for the Braves. Freeman says it’s a nice win after a bad loss Monday:
