On the eve of the Masters, Augusta National Golf Club chairman Fred Ridley announced today the establishment of the Augusta National Amateur Women’s Championship. The event will bring the best 72 amateur women’s players in the world to compete beginning next year.
The first two rounds of the event will be played at Champions Retreat Golf Club in Augusta, with the final round contested on the Saturday before the Masters at Augusta National Golf Club.
