Area students accepted to Gatton Academy

A Trigg County student been accepted to the prestigious Gatton Academy of Mathematics and Science on the campus of Western Kentucky University for the fall term.

Trigg County High School sophomore Alexander Perry will attend the academy, according to a news release, which says he is the son of Shawn Perry of Cadiz.

Students are chosen based on their SAT/ACT scores, high school grades, awards, extracurricular activities, answers to essays and letters of recommendation.

As previously reported, Gabriella Lynn from University Heights Academy and Hopkinsville High School student Jerry “JB” Morse will also be attending the Gatton Academy.

Caldwell County High School student Lillian Kimmel, Muhlenberg County High student Jacob Moore and Madisonville-North Hopkins High student Audrey Littlepage will also be among the 99 Kentucky members of the Class of 2020 at Gatton Academy.
