The Kentucky Senate paused Tuesday in remembrance of fallen Hopkinsville Police Officer Phillip Meacham.
Senator Whitney Westerfield of Hopkinsville asked for the moment of silence in the upper chamber.
Following those remarks, Senate President Robert Stivers ordered silence to remember Officer Meacham.
Representative Walker Thomas of Hopkinsville honored Meacham with remarks in the state House late Thursday night.
