KYTC names District 2 chief engineer

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has named Deneatra Henderson as Chief District Engineer for the District 2 highway office in Madisonville.

Henderson most recently served as planning supervisor at the KYTC District 3 office in Bowling Green. Henderson is the first female to be named chief engineer in District 2. She says she is eager to contribute to the long-term efforts to improve transportation in District 2 counties.

She says, “I look forward to working with the District 2 engineering and support staff in their ongoing effort to enhance the safety and reliability of transportation infrastructure across the region. I’m especially excited about having a role in developing a new I-69 Ohio River crossing and taking on other transportation and engineering challenges.”

Henderson is a 2004 graduate of Western Kentucky University with a degree in Civil Engineering. She began employment with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet as an engineering scholarship student in June 1998.

Deneatra Henderson and her husband, Cody, live in Morgantown.
