Two arrested, one still sought in Madisonville robbery

Two men were arrested and a third is still at large following a robbery and assault at a Princeton Road residence in Madisonville on March 22nd.

According to the report from Madisonville police, officers responded to reports of an assault that was determined to be an element in a home invasion robbery. Three men had stopped in a parking lot down the road from the home and then made forcibly entry into the residence.  Personal items were taken from the victim by force and investigation revealed that a gun was used in the robbery and drugs were allegedly a motivating factor.

The victim was taken to Baptist Health Hospital for minor injuries.

Police arrested 20-year old William Saxon and 20-year old Joseph Singleton for their alleged involvement. A third suspect, 22-year old Dennis Harvey, is still at large and anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call Hopkins County Crime Stoppers at 270-825-1111.

Saxon and Singleton were charged with first-degree robbery and lodged in the Hopkins County Detention Center.
