Justin Johnson scored 23 points to lead Western Kentucky past USC 79-75 in the second round of the NIT Tournament in Los Angeles. The Hilltoppers will head to Oklahoma State in the quarterfinal round tomorrow night. The Cowboys knocked off Stanford 71-65 to advance. If Western Kentucky beats Oklahoma State, it will face either Saint Mary’s or Utah in the semifinals at Madison Square Garden.
Louisville is set to host Mississippi State in the NIT quarterfinals tonight. If the Cardinals win, they will travel to New York to face either Marquette or Penn State in the semifinals.
