Attorney questions witness account in Meullion case

The attorney representing the man accused of shooting Tarone Williams to death in October of 2016 in downtown Hopkinsville is calling into question one witness account that identified Dorien Meullion as the suspect.

Meullion appeared in Christian Circuit Court Wednesday with defense attorney Clay Beineke, who said the witness in question looked at two different photos of Meullion before calling him the shooter and there are other issues at question.

Judge John Atkins says he’s open to having an evidentiary hearing between now and the March 22nd trial date, but it’s also possible to have the hearing outside of the jury’s presence. Jury selection is expected to take two days, with the actual trial to commence March 26th.
