A child abuse investigation is ongoing after a toddler was brought to Jennie Stuart Medical Center Wednesday morning with serious injuries.
A Hopkinsville Police report says the child sustained major external and possible internal injuries. The victim was eventually transferred to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville.
Asphyxiation is listed as one of the ways the child was injured.
A suspect’s name is redacted on the report, as no arrest has been made.
