Hopkinsville Community College hosted its annual Regional Entrepreneur Conference Wednesday.
Lea Martin is the Workforce Development Liaison at HCC and says it’s a way to help owners of existing businesses and those considering branching out with information to set a solid foundation.
Students from Trigg County High School’s “Project Lead the Way” class attended and Martin says more people are beginning to exercise their entrepreneurial spirit at a younger age.
Martin was able to use connections at HCC to obtain veteran professional race car driver Andy Pilgrim as the day’s featured speaker and she says his life story fit their message perfectly.
Breakout sessions were scheduled on topics such as marketing, young talent and forming a business model.
