Two out-of-state men accused of using fake credit cards and ID’s were arrested Sunday afternoon in Hopkinsville.

City police were notified of two men trying to use fake credit cards at the West Seventh Street BP station and soon located the suspects. Officers apprehended 23-year old Hakeem Bell of Kissimmee, Florida near West Side Park and 30-year old Richard Brumfield of Atlanta, Georgia on North McPherson Avenue after he fled on foot and ran through several yards.

A search of Bell’s Jeep revealed forged credit cards and photo ID’s and Brumfield discarded a wallet containing several forged items.
