Shots fired investigation ends with arrest

A shots fired investigation on East 18th Street Sunday afternoon ended with the arrest of a Hopkinsville man.

An arrest citation for 27-year old Shycorian Bailey of Hopkinsville says officers found him walking on his front porch at 309 East 18th after receiving a call that he fired a gun into the air in the front yard of that address. Neighbors said Bailey had been arguing with another person prior to police arrival.

Bailey was reportedly under the influence of alcohol and a search of his home revealed a 9 mm pistol in the floor of a front room, according to the citation.

He was arrested and charged with first-degree wanton endangerment and tampering with evidence.
