The Christian County Public School System has hired John Rittenhouse as its new communications director.
He replaces Heather Lancaster, who left the district to become executive director of Sanctuary, Inc.
Rittenhouse is currently a planner for the stormwater utility department in the City of Hopkinsville’s Community Development Services.
He says in a news release, “I grew up in Hopkinsville and graduated from Hopkinsville High School. As such, Christian County Public Schools has always held a special place in my heart – not only for that reason, but also because they are preparing the next generation of future leaders. I take great pride in the opportunity to keep our community informed of CCPS news and events.”
Superintendent Mary Ann Gemmill says, “John brings a vast amount of experience to this role and his love and respect for our school system was evident in his interview.”
