Murray State freshman Ja Morant has been named the Ohio Valley Conference Freshman of the Week. Morant averaged 14.5 points, nine rebounds and six assists in wins at Eastern Illinois and Austin Peay to help the Racers win the OVC regular season title.
Also honored was Racer senior Johnathan Stark as the OVC Player of the Week. Stark had 31 points Saturday night in the win over Austin Peay and averaged 23 points and 4.5 assists in two games last week.
