Two found dead near car in Crittenden County creek

Kentucky State Police are investigating after two people were found dead in a Crittenden County creek, downstream from their partially submerged vehicle.

Crittenden County volunteer fire-fighters found the car in Crooked Creek about two miles north of Marion along Fords Ferry Road about 6 p.m. Sunday. The passenger-side door was open and the vehicle was unoccupied.

Firefighters located two deceased victims, 86-year old Douglas Keeling and 82-year old Martha Keeling of Marion, about 300 yards downstream from the vehicle. An autopsy was scheduled at the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Madisonville, but foul play is not suspected.
