Local 18-year old arrested after pursuit

Kentucky State Police arrested an 18-year old Hopkinsville man Saturday night following a vehicle pursuit that ended in Crofton.

Trooper Hunter Carroll saw 18-year old Jordan Shepherd of Hopkinsville leave Huck’s gas station in a reckless manner that caused his rear tires to fish-tail, according to a news release, which says Shepherd did not stop for the trooper and continued westbound on Crofton-Dawson Road.

The pursuit ended when Shepherd lost control of his pickup and went into a yard before coming to rest back on the roadway.

Shepherd was arrested without further incident and charged with fleeing or evading police, second-degree wanton endangerment, reckless driving, speeding, improper starting and criminal mischief.
