The Mayor’s Youth Council is partnering with Delta Sigma Theta, Inc. to host the Delta Youth Summit on President’s Day at 10 a.m.
According to a news release, students from across the Christian County Public School System, University Heights Academy, Heritage Christian Academy, Saints Peter and Paul Catholic School and homeschool students are invited to attend. The summit is designed to engage young people in activities that will help them: problem solve, build alliances, resolve conflict and to foster and improve communication between youth and adults.
Forum developer Tara Toliver says, “We know that when our young people are engaged, equipped and empowered to make positive choices it becomes a Win-Win for our schools and communities”.
