UHA defeats Hopkinsville for second time

University Heights swept Hopkinsville for the first time in many years last night, defeating the Tigers 78-68 and wrapping up the #2 seed for the upcoming 8th district tournament. The Tigers will be the number three seed.

KyKy Tandy had a game high 36 points for the Blazers, now 15-7 overall and they finished district play 4-2. Taquan Hollowell added 16 in the winning effort. Hopkinsville got 29 points from Jalen Johnson with Steven Cager adding 14 and James Nicholas pitched in 12 as the Tigers fell to 11-12 overall and are 2-3 in district play. The Tigers conclude district play hosting top seed Christian County tomorrow night.
