Murray State sweeps Austin Peay in OVC twinbill

The Racers moved into a tie for first place in the OVC after an 84-63 victory over the Governors. Jonathan Stark led the way with 27 points, while Terrell Miller, Jr., played big with 19 points and Ja Morant came close to his second triple-double this season with 11 points, 10 assists and eight rebounds. Austin Peay was led in scoring by Averyl Ugba with 16 and Terry Taylor pitched in 13.

The Racers are now 19-5 and 11-2 in the OVC. They moved into a share of first place with Belmont who was upset at Tennessee State. MSU has a Saturday. game at SIUE. The Governors are now 14-11 and 9-4 in the OVC and play at Eastern Illinois tomorrow.

In the women’s game: Ke’Shunan James recorded one of the single greatest performances in Murray State women’s history as she tallied 41 points and came just one assist shy of just the third triple-double in program history as she helped lead the Racers to a 91-65 win.
The Racers improved to 9-15 and 5-8 in the OVC while Austin Peay fell to 13-11 and 6-7 in the OVC. Murray State plays at SIUE tomorrow while Austin Peay plays at Eastern Illinois.
