Gov. appoints Union Co. judge-executive

Governor Matt Bevin has appointed Adam R. O’Nan, of Sturgis, as Union County Judge-Executive.

He fills the vacancy created last month with the death of Judge Jody Jenkins.

O’Nan is a farmer and has owned the restaurant Doc and Betty’s Place since 2013, according to Governor Bevin’s office.

Judge O’Nan says, “We continue to offer our condolences and prayers to the family and many friends of Judge-Executive Jody Jenkins. I am eager to work with the Union County Fiscal Court as we move forward for the great folks of Union County.”

O’Nan will serve until his position is filled in accordance with the results of the November 2018 midterm election.
