Vols sweep Cats for first time since 1998-99 season

Lamonte Turner knocked down a go-ahead three with less 30 seconds left as 14th ranked Tennessee defeated 24th ranked Kentucky 61-59 last night at Rupp Arena. Turner’s hit four three pointers in the game as he finished with 16 points off the bench. The Volunteers are 18-5 overall and 8-3 in the SEC.

The Wildcats turned the ball over 15 times and made only 3-of-14 from behind the arc. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Quade Green each scored 15 for Kentucky, who is 17- 7 and 6-5 in conference.
