Authorities have identified the human remains found late last year in the Auburn community of Logan County.
Kentucky State Police told the Russellville News-Democrat Leader that the skull and other bones found by duck hunters in December off Willow Pond Road was the remains of 66-year old John Cauley.
Coroner Mary Givens told the newspaper that Cauley was a transient who had been staying in the Auburn area for months and who had left his belongings at a residence.
Givens said there were no visible signs of trauma to the remains. KSP says the investigation continues.
