Man stopped for speeding in rain gets second DUI

A Hopkinsville man was arrested for his second DUI Tuesday night on Fort Campbell Boulevard.

An arrest citation for 35-year old Stefan P’Pool of Hopkinsville alleges he was observed traveling north at 50 mph in a 35 mph zone with heavy rain coming down about 11:40 p.m.

There was reportedly an odor of alcohol coming from P’Pool’s breath and person and he performed poorly on field sobriety tests. He refused a breathalyzer test and a computer check revealed a previous DUI.

He was charged with his second DUI and with driving too fast for conditions.
