Arrest made for robbery of 95-year old woman

An arrest has been made in connection with the recent robbery and assault of a 95-year old woman.

Charged with second-degree robbery is 52-year old David Lee Quarles of Hopkinsville, who allegedly admitted he forced his way inside a Tate Street home early Saturday morning and demanded money from the 95-year old victim.

The woman said Quarles also struck her on the head during the robbery, but Quarles said he couldn’t remember doing so because he was under the influence of crack cocaine. Quarles did say he left the house with the victim’s cash.
