Hopkinsville Police have released video surveillance of the Friday morning armed robbery at the East Ninth Street Marathon gas station in hopes someone will be able to identify the suspect.
As previously reported, the male suspect wearing a black mask, a black toboggan, red gloves, a blue vest and a black shirt underneath entered the store about 12:05 a.m., brandished a handgun and demanded cash.
Hopkinsville Police say the suspect then fled the scene on foot and entered a vehicle that was parked on East 11th Street in the vacant lot next to a semi-truck.
The suspect drove west on East 11th Street. The suspect’s vehicle appears to be a dark in color four-door passenger car. Anyone with information on the robbery should call Detective Brian Smith at 270-890-1514 or Crime Stoppers at 270-887-TIPS.
