Austin Peay received two of the Ohio Valley Conference weekly awards announced today. Terry Taylor of Bowling Green received OVC Freshman of the Week honors. Taylor averaged 21 points and eight rebounds in wins over Eastern Kentucky and Morehead State last week. It’s the fifth time this season Taylor has won the award.
Teammate Averyl Ugba was named the Newcomer of the Week after averaging 15 ½ points and 12 rebounds in last week’s wins over EKU and Morehead State. Ugba is a six time recipient this season of the Newcomer Award. Austin Peay is back in action Thursday night at UT Martin.
