Kerr files for Commonwealth’s Atty in Todd, Logan Co.

There is now officially a Republican primary for Commonwealth’s Attorney in Todd and Logan counties after Neil Kerr filed his papers with the Secretary of State’s office Friday.

Kerr is the Russellville City Attorney and operates a private law office in Logan County representing clients in criminal and family court cases. He is a 2006 graduate of the University of Kentucky Law School.

In a news release, Kerr says, “I have worked tirelessly to build a successful law practice in this area. I did so by giving honest, straightforward advice, and by treating people fairly, regardless of their background or current circumstances. I am a fierce advocate for my clients, who has never been and never will be intimidated by the opposition. I promise to bring this same approach as the next Commonwealth’s Attorney for Logan and Todd Counties.”

Kerr will face Joe Hendricks, Jr. in the May primary and acting lead prosecutor Justin Crocker has filed for the position as a Democrat.
