Hopkinsville Police arrested a man on Cave Street early Monday morning after a stolen vehicle was located where he was staying.
Officers went to 340 Cave about 3 a.m. and spoke to 30-year old Shawn Dale Gilkey of Hopkinsville, who said he did not steal the vehicle and said the owner of the automobile had actually left it with him Sunday. He said he only moved it from the driveway to the side of the home.
Witnesses told police they saw Gilkey arrive at the Cave Street location in the vehicle by himself.
Gilkey was arrested for felony receiving stolen property.
