Man gets second DUI in three years after crash

Hopkinsville Police arrested a man for his second DUI in three years Friday night after a rear-end collision at Fort Campbell Boulevard and Skyline Drive.

A Hopkinsville Police report says 39-year old Anthony Rogers of Hopkinsville was stopped with traffic when he was rear-ended by a car operated by 69-year old Samuel Banger of Hopkinsville.

Banger allegedly admitted to drinking a pint of alcoholic beverage before driving and an empty bottle was located under his seat. He couldn’t perform field sobriety tests and was arrested for his second DUI, driving with expired tags and with failure to maintain insurance.

No one was injured in the collision.
