The Henderson Gleaner reports plans are underway to have a basketball tournament similar to the All A Classic for “midsized” Kentucky schools. Union County athletic director Jeremy Tackett and Webster County AD Matt Bell came up with the idea last fall.
The unnamed event would feature schools in Class 2-A. Tackett learned 66 schools fit in that category and emailed those school’s athletic directors asking about their interest in a statewide invitational basketball tournament. Plans are to play the event next January at Henry County High School the week before the All A Classic.
