LEGENDARY WKU BROADCASTER STRADER DIES

Long time Western Kentucky University broadcaster Wes Strader died last night at the age of 79. Strader began his association with the Hilltoppers in 1964 and continued in that role until 2000. He also broadcast the Boys Sweet 16 for many years, including a long time association with former WHOP sportscaster Hal King and current sports director Todd Hamilton.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete but under the direction of JC Kirby and Sons Funeral Home in Bowling Green.
