Man flown to Skyline Medical Center after head on collision

Two people were injured Thursday afternoon in a head-on collision on Country Club Lane at Keachland Drive.

The Hopkinsville Police collision report from Officer Andrew Hoffman says 50-year old Steven Fryer of Hopkinsville was westbound on Country Club about 1:23 p.m. when his car crossed the center line and struck an eastbound vehicle operated by 75-year old Patricia Embry of Hopkinsville.

Fryer told police he believed he must have had a blown tire because his vehicle began jerking and it caused him to cross the center line.

Both drivers were taken by EMS to Jennie Stuart Medical Center and Fryer was then flown by Air Evac to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville.

Embry and Fryer were both wearing their seat belt.
